Harrisburg Gold moves on to Dakota Classic semifinals

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) -- Harrisburg Gold advanced to the Dakota Classic semifinals with an 8-0 win over Yankton at the Sanford Diamonds Sunday. Post 45 plated five runs in the first inning to surge in front. Harrisburg meets Lincoln Pius in Monday's first semifinal at 9 a.m. at Ronken Field.

Lightning sparks Alaska’s largest wildfire of year

The McDonald Fire south of Fairbanks, Alaska, was reported to have burned more than 32,000 acres since its inception on June 8. The Bureau of Land Management Alaska Fire Service said the fire is burning in the military’s Tanana Flats Training Area. Crews are allowing the fire to burn naturally but are preparing defense operations around nearby cabins.
