STURGIS, S.D. (KELO) — The Sturgis City Council approved a rain date for the Spirit of Sturgis TT Race.
According to a press release from the City of Sturgis, the race is currently scheduled for Sunday, August 11. According to the National Weather Service, the Sturgis area is expected to have an 80% chance of showers and thunderstorms on Sunday.
Sunday is also the official last day of the Sturgis Rally.

The city council approved a resolution to amend the licenses, resolutions, and actions taken by council in order to extend to and include all of Monday, August 12, 2024, as the rain date for the Spirit of Sturgis TT Race.
