22 million from Kansas City to Chicago could be blasted by powerful storms on Tuesday

MINNEAPOLIS – Severe weather will once again threaten areas of the Midwest on Tuesday as millions of people from Kansas City through Chicago could see thunderstorms capable of producing large hail, damaging wind gusts and even some tornadoes.A damaging tornado tore through parts of southern Wisconsin over the weekend, and storms that are firing through parts of the Upper Midwest could pose a risk in the same area overnight into Tuesday morning. DOWNLOAD THE FREE FOX WEATHER APPCities such as Omaha, Chicago and Kansas City will be under a Level 2 out of 5 threat of severe weather. The SPC placed more than 22 million people in that Level 2 risk zone, which includes cities such as Jefferson City in Missouri, Omaha and Lincoln in Nebraska and Fort Wayne in Indiana.Large hail, damaging wind and even the risk of tornadoes will be possible from central Nebraska through central Illinois. The SPC says that eastern Nebraska into far western Iowa could see very large hail.
