SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Celebrate the cultural diversity of Sioux Falls during the Festival of Cultures at Levitt at the Falls. The free festival kicks off at 10:30 a.m. with a family Celtic concert from Maggie In the Meantime on the front of the Levitt stage. Other activities throughout the day will take place in the parking lot behind the Levitt stage including performances by the Dakota District Pipe & Drums, Nepali youth dancers, Darfuri dancers and the Wakpa Ipaksan Drum Singers. Salsa lessons begin at 6:30 p.m. on the Levitt stage followed by Tuff Roots reggae performance at 7:00 p.m. and a parade of flags at 7:45 p.m. The evening ends with a free concert by the Grammy Award-winning group Los Texmaniacs.

Support Sioux Falls’ LGBTQ+ community during the Pride Parade and Festival. The parade gets underway at 10 a.m. at 8th Street and Dakota Avenue to Reid Street. The Pride Festival is taking place at Sioux Falls Stadium from noon to 5 p.m. New this year: a sensory-friendly shopping experience at the stadium, which will start at 10:30 a.m.

Step Forward to Prevent Suicide raises awareness and support for the Helpline Center’s suicide prevention services and survivor support programs. The event begins at 9 a.m. at Fawick Park in downtown Sioux Falls and includes a remembrance ceremony and a 1.5 mile walk.

A fireworks show presented by The Fireworkz Store is a benefit for Emily’s Hope. Bring your lawn chairs to the Tea Athletic Complex where the fireworks, synchronized with music, begin at dusk. The cost is a free-will donation.

Anglers of all ages are invited to enjoy free fishing at Family Park in Sioux Falls from 9-11 a.m. All gear will be provided.

Legion bikers start four-day fundraiser on Saturday

World Ocean Day at the Butterfly House & Aquarium in Sioux Falls includes a creature card scavenger hunt, ocean animal art projects plus a prize basket raffle. There will also be a ray & shark dock talk at 10:30 a.m. and a coral exhibit expert chat at 2:30 p.m.

The Totally Rad Vintage Fest features clothing, records, home goods and video games from the 1980’s, 90’s and Y2K eras. It’s taking place at the Sioux Falls Convention Center from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $8.

History buffs are invited to a behind-the-scenes guided tour of the Irene Hall Museum Resource Center in Sioux Falls. Visitors can explore some of the 126-thousand artifacts stored in the center starting at 10 a.m. Admission is $5.

Cootie Days in Dell Rapids include carnival rides in the City Park from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. There will also be plenty of food served from funnel cakes to sno-cones. There will be Bingo at the American Legion Hall from from 5-8 p.m.

It’s Bingo Night at A Homestead Brew in Valley Springs. All money raised supports Casting for Recovery-South Dakota. Bingo cards are $20 each. There will also be a silent auction and a paddle board raffle.

The Sioux Valley Model Engineers Society is hosting an open house at their club building on the north side of the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds. The free open house runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and Sunday.

The Spring Junk Fest at the Nest features artisans selling antiques, refurbished furniture, artwork and handcrafted jewelry at 3720 S. River Bluff Road in Sioux Falls. The hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lunch will be served from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Farmers Market season in KELOLAND includes the Falls Park Farmers Market at 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Brandon Farmers Market goes from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at 925 North Splitrock Boulevard. The farmers markets are held each Saturday through October.

Movies playing at the historic State Theater in downtown Sioux Falls include Tarzan, rated G, Fantastic Planet, rated PG, I Saw the TV Glow, rated PG-13 and My Own Private Idaho, rated R.

New movie releases playing at a theater near you include The Watchers, rated PG-13 and Bad Boys: Ride or Die, rated R.

The Storm indoor football team takes on the Vegas Knight Hawks at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center. Kickoff is 7:05 p.m.

Enjoy a night of racing at I-90 Speedway in Hartford, SD. Gates open at 5 p.m. Hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. The races start at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20, $10 for students, free for ages 12 and under.
