Man trapped in Murray County, MN grain bin

MURRAY COUNTY, MN (KELO) — A man was trapped in a grain bin Tuesday at Balaton, MN. Balaton is a small town located about 20 miles east of Lake Benton, MN.

According to the Murray County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), dispatch received a report at 3:17 p.m. When authorities arrived at the scene, the person was completely submerged in the grain bin and they were unable to locate him.

29-year-old suffers life-threatening injuries in cement truck crash

Those that responded were the MCSO and emergency personnel from Balaton Fire Department, Balaton Ambulance, Tracy Fire Department, Garvin Fire Department, North Memorial Ambulance, North Memorial Air Care and Marshall Fire Department.

Emergency personnel extricated the victim from the grain bin and remained on scene for one hour.

Authorities did not release the victim’s medical condition or name. The incident remains under investigation.
